New Beer!
Click the image above to check out our brand-new beer! Wowee Zowee aims to bring a little bit of Cali sunshine in to an otherwise classic gloomy English summers day. This West Coast IPA (partly inspired by one of our favourite West-Coast Indy Rock bands) is choca with Simcoe, Centennial and Mosaic for all the piney, dank goodness you could ask for, right on top of a more malt-focused profile than our usual IPA's. 6.7% of hoppy good times.
Not only that, we also have a fresh batch of Conflux!!! All the hops, all the time.
Canning Line!
This Thursday our brand new canning line is being installed (yaaaaaaaassss!). This a huge deal for us and means we'll finally have full control over every aspect of our brewing and packaging quality. The first beer to hit aluminium is Dayspring - our brand new Pilsner. We'll only release this once we're completely happy the canning line is running as smoothly as possible so keep your fingers crossed for us and keep an eye on our socials to find out when you can get your hands on it.
Taproom News
We've decided not to open our taproom this Saturday as we don't think we can do it in a way that is properly safe for both our customers and our staff right now. We're really hoping the COVID situation improves so we can open later in the year. However, if you're able to, we do encourage you to (safely and distanced) visit local spots like our buddies Overdraft who are going above and beyond to create a safe place for you to finally enjoy a pint again.
Saying that, we are working on opening our taproom as a full retail shop in the next couple of weeks with the freshest selection of cans you'll find in the south. Watch this space for more info but rest assured, you'll be able to properly visit the brewery soon to chat with our staff and bask in the atmosphere of our brewery whilst picking up your fresh cans and merch. You'll still be able to click and collect and we encourage people to do this as it is still the quickest, safest and easiest way to pick up your beers from the brewery.
With the uncertainty of the trade opening back up little by little, threats of second waves and the economic impact of COVID starting to show, we're headed in to possibly the most rocky period yet so your continued support is appreciated now more than ever and we can't wait to welcome you back in to the brewery, even if just for a quick pick up.
NHS Discount
We are unfortunately finishing our 20% discount promotion for NHS staff as of this Monday. We hugely value the incredible NHS staff that work so hard to keep all of us healthy and safe every day (love you Mum!) and we're really glad to have been able to reach out a hand and give thanks in a time of huge pressure. It's sadly unsustainable for us to continue it long term though so from this Monday we will no longer offer this discount. If you've already got a code but haven't used it yet, now's your time, equally, if you would like to place an order before Monday and don't have a code, drop me an email info@unitybrewingco.com from your NHS email address and I'll send one over.
We will be continuing the 'Buy the NHS a Pint' scheme though (click HERE for more info) and will be honouring this as soon as our taproom is open for on-site consumption. That's gonna be one hell of an NHS party.
Phew, that's about it. It's lunchtime so I'm gonna crack a can of Conflux and stick a Wowee in the fridge for later.
